Senior Student Team and School Council
At Oak Academy we are very proud to have a student body that strives to work for the betterment of everyone within both our internal and external community. They are an integral part of Oak’s journey.
Last year we have reintroduced the roles of Head Boy, Head Girl and an extended Senior Team.
This year we have broadened that team to have students across all year groups who represent our student body.
At Oak Academy we greatly value the opinion of our pupils. Through the student council, we are able to allow for representation of our pupils as we consider the proposals they make to improve out school. With the assistance of our council, we can ensure that Oak continues to provide character development and leadership opportunities for all of our pupils.
School Council’s aim at Oak Academy is to empower young people to have a voice in the continuous improvement of our school. Our aims are to:
- Encourage our colleagues to give feedback on what we think can be done differently
- Meet regularly to create awareness for various causes and charity
- Feedback to the Senior Leadership Team on important topics for school improvement
- To represent the collective pupil voice to provide various types of feedback and solutions
